  • On the TV History Channel 12/12/05, National Geographic's three hour epic detective story ($39.95 DVD) docu 'Guns Germs and Steel' based on Jared Diamond's book, was a must-see dire warning:
http://www.google.ca/search?num=100&hl=en&q=Guns+Germs+and+Steel+Jared+Diamond+National+Geographic&btnG=Search&meta=. For cyber-active progressives, National Geographic's docu is a useful "anti-civilization" GreenAnarchy? message for hyperlinks in web sites and e-mails - good stuff for Mennonites, Africans, First Nations and Greens people who will fight more guerilla wars against colonial corporate civilization to restore their traditional values.

It's unimportant whether the world can actually ever go back to Mother Nature's plan - a point that some critics of Zerzan have missed. It's the perception not the reality in the eyes of the 80 percent of the world in poverty that is important. Yet since the belief in magic and the supernatural nature of the three Middle East bible writers did catch on, the non-supernatural nature of Mother Nature's anti-civilization idealism of Zerzan can catch on.
The 80 percent of the world in poverty hear Al-Qaida. They also hear Bob Marley: "An hungry mons an angry mon."

Jared Diamond and John Zerzan both agree on the course of action. Do you?

If someone like Jared Diamond or John Zerzan starts a religion based not on faith, but on the known scientific facts of Mother Nature I'll be the first to join up -
the ONE cosmology - the world's solution requires only our reflection of the dying planet and to speak in HER name as -
the MOTHER NATURE PARTY OF GOD
Everyone is already a member of Mother Nature needing only to be unprivatised (hyperlinked in action). The medium is the message.

The social change revolutionists must adopt Diamond's scientific overview that civilizations always fail to plan for sustainable habitat. Keep in mind the anti-civilization rant:
You can't drink the water
You can't breathe the air
You can't eat the junk food

THE EARTH IS NOT DYING. IT IS BEING KILLED,
AND THOSE THAT ARE KILLING IT

The dying victims of the genocidal war - the earth's animal species say - All is fair in love and war, use any of Mother Nature's bio-weapons of mass destruction methods to cull human sprawl.
_ "The raging monster upon the land is population growth. In its presence, sustainability is but a fragile theoretical construct. To say, as many do, that the difficulties of nations are not due to people but to poor ideology and land-use management is sophistic." _ ...E.O. Wilson

* Do Sentient Beings have an Inherent Value - Professor Tom Regan * from: http://www.animalsentience.com/more_conference2005_regan.htm

As a radical – and very famous – philosopher, Professor Regan took the approach of discussing sentience in the context of moral rights. To him, moral rights apply equally to humans and animals. Moral rights for humans mean that others are not free to harm us or to take away our free choice. Moral rights breed equality. Amongst humans this means that moral rights are not related to race, gender, wealth or creed.

Professor Regan believes that moral rights are the equivalent of the trump card – the most important consideration in the game.

Taking this further he used the idea of the “subject of a life” which links all humans. Amongst humans, the less gifted do not live to serve the wishes of the more gifted or privileged.

Professor Regan believes that mammals, birds and fish are also the “subject of a life”. They are aware of the world, aware of each other, and aware of what happens to them – in his definition, sentient. Sentiency in any form confers moral rights, whether sentiency is expressed in the broad definition of the senses, or the narrower definition of emotions and feelings.

Tom Regan

Since sentient animals are also the “subject of a life” we cannot morally justify our use of animals for profit, enjoyment or benefit. The same moral rights that apply to humans must also apply to animals.

Ending an animal’s life prematurely does not promote their moral rights. Suffering cannot be morally justified.

Professor Regan concluded by stating that understanding animal sentience is important because liberating animals from the hands of human tyranny is vital for an assertion of their moral rights.
